I’ve only picked up one shade so far – Nude Cashmere. I was hoping it would be a tad bid darker than my skin tone and add some dimension to my crease and lower lash line. However, Nude Cashmere is VERY light, and even though I am quite fair, I think this could only be used as an eyeshadow base. Or as a matte lid shade paired with a deeper crease shade. I know these have gotten terrible reviews, but I’m still interested enough in experimenting with this formula that I might pick up the next deepest shade, Flawless Beige. I do think the shade range on these is beautiful (except the one I chose is not quite what I wanted! LOL!) . It’s disappointing that the formula is getting such terrible reviews though as being too dry and unblendable. I do think it’s possible that the darker shades are more difficult to blend than the lighter shade I’ve tried. It seems that people with really oily lids might appreciate the texture since it’s so budge-proof. I generally don’t have oily lids and rarely even bother with eye primer except to amp up the color on less-pigmented shimmer shadows. Other reviewers have remarked that these could be particularly helpful for wedding or event makeup and especially for people with oily and/or hooded lids. I could see that. The Swatches I don’t have many products like this, so it was a bit difficult to decide what to swatch it next to. The Colourpop Colour Stix in Fave Things (second swatch) is the closest thing to a dupe in my collection since it’s also meant to be a cream shadow with matte finish. However, it’s much creamier and the tone is definitely more yellow. I think the color of Nude Cashmere is much prettier and likely to be more flattering on more people. The color: When swatched on my arm, this product looks like a bit deeper than my skin tone and seems like it could provide some dimension to an eye look. But on my eye, it just completely blends into my skin tone and is basically invisible. This could be due to the way you sheer it out when you apply to the lid making the color less intense, and also I have darker coloring around my eyes than the rest of my face, plus sort of deep set eyes. So perhaps on another person of the skin tone the Nude Cashmere shade would produce more of a “shadow” shade. I would definitely need to try the next deeper shade though. So this product isn’t really working out for me. A different shade might have produced a different experience. And I’m generally to lazy to bother with an eye primer or base color. But I should perhaps experiment more with that type of application.
