Laura Mercier Beige Intime Swatches
Beige Intime by Laura Mercier is one of my very favorite mauve lipsticks. Do I have a lot of favorite mauve lipsticks? Yes. Yes, I do. Mauve is one of my favorite lipstick categories! I think that’s because my natural lip color has a bit of purple in it.
I’ve been meaning to do this post for quite a while because this lipstick is one of the handful that lives in my handbag on a regular basis.
Beige Intime is from the Rouge Essentiel lipstick line by Laura Mercier. The brand describes this shade as “light brown” which doesn’t seem quite right to me. I say it’s a mauve.
Formula
I really like the Rouge Essentiel formula. It is really light weight and not drying. You get fully opaque color with a really thin layer, so you don’t really feel like you have a lot of lipstick on your lips. It’s the opposite of thick and goopy.
It’s a cream formula, and it dries down a bit to a satin finish. I’ve been thinking about picking up more of these, but they are $34 each, so I need to choose carefully!
Swatches
I think if you like Very Victoria (Charlotte Tilbury), you’ll like Beige Intime. Beige Intime is a bit more saturated, vibrant, and opaque.

Packaging
The packaging of the Rouge Essential line is super nice. It has a magnetic closure and feels weighty in the hand. I don’t think it’s at all sustainable, reusable, recyclable, or eco friendly in any way. I do want to see makeup brands move towards more environmentally friendly packaging. But, it is really nice packaging. And the square shape makes it a bit easier to find in your handbag without looking, and it won’t ever roll away from you. A battle I’m constantly fighting! 🤣
I like this packaging better than the standard Charlotte Tilbury packaging (the rose gold for her $34 line), and it’s on par with her refillable lipstick packaging (but it’s not refillable).
Where to Buy
The Rouge Essential line is available at Laura Mercier *AFFIL*, Sephora, and Macy’s.
The Laura Mercier site currently carries 31 shades and a few exclusive sets/minis. Sephora currently carries 13 shades (including Beige Intime). Macy’s currently carries 20 shades.
