Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Cream Eyeshadow Sticks - Swatch and Review - Stef's Edge
Bobbi Brown shadow sticks are such a classic makekup staple. The formula is excellent, easy to use, and the shade selection is mostly muted neutrals. In this post I’ll be sharing swatches of the 13 shades I currently own. This product currently comes in 25 shades, and there are limited edition shades that come and go. I usually stay away from limited edition items, but there are some limited edition shades available now that are right up my alley. I picked up three of them, so three of the shades swatched are limited edition. I labeled the Limited Edition shades with “(LE)” in the swatch photos. Video swatches will be posted on my Instagram account (@stesfedge). Please check there to see how these shadows shine and sparkle in the light. Studio Light Swatches Sunlight Swatches Shade Descriptions Review Notes I really like the ways these look on my nearly-40 eyelids. I don’t think they emphasize texture, and I find that they blend out with a brush very nicely, not patchy. The lasting power is really good. I get about 9-10 good hours out of these. They last past that time, but if you look really up close they start to look a tad creasy and dried out where I have applied them thickly over the lid, the blended out crease still looks perfect. They still look nice from a normal viewing distance though. The shade selection is right up my alley. Great for boring office looks. I am finding that the product is prone to falling out of the package when you turn it upside down. This is usually only a problem when I turn them upside down for swatching. Doesn’t happen when I’m applying product to my eyes. Where to Purchase Keep an eye out for sets of minis! Especially around the holidays there are new sets of minis. Different stores sometimes carry different mini sets, so check around to see which shades are offered where. I really think minis are the way to go unless you have a shade that you know you’ll love and use often. That said, not all shades are available as minis. Golden Pink is sold as a mini all the time. Bobbi Brown’s brand website also does some really good sales from time to time and gift with purchase promotions. Those are also good times to buy. Thank you for reading!
