Catwalking Lipstick Swatches – Charlotte Tilbury Super Nudes Collection
I’ve picked up One (1) shade (so far! hahaha!) from the new Charlotte Tilbury Super Nudes Collection (link to collection here). I chose Catwalking, which is described as a neutral nude peach. This shade clearly has a bit of orange and brown in it, but I thought it had enough depth and pink to be flattering on me.
The lightest shade available in The Super Nudes collection, Cover Star, didn’t seem like it would work for me, so I passed on that one. I’m still very interested in Runway Royalty (link to CT website) which is in the glossy Kissing formula and is slightly more pink than Catwalking. I’m also interested in the shade Supermodel, Matte Revolution formula, described as a mid-toned, muted nude-rose.
Catwalking vs Other Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick Shades
These are the most similar Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks I have – these are all in that brown/nude/peach family. Catwalking is a Matte Revolution formula though while Penelope Pink, Angel Alessandra, and JK Magic are in the glossier K.I.S.S.I.N.G. formula. JK Magic is definitely the closest in color though.
Catwalking vs Other Brands
I scoured my collection for similar matte shades to see if I could find any dupes for you. The Essence Bold and Milani Pleasure 410 are SUPER close!
Essence Bold 03 is from their This Is Nude line and retails for $3.99. It can be purchased from Ulta, or on Essence’s brand website. It has a semi-matte finish (just like Charlotte) and is Cruelty Free.
Milani Pleasure 410 is from their new Color Fetish Matte lipstick line released earlier this year. It retails for $8.00. I purchased mine from Walmart, but it’s also available at Ulta and Milani’s own brand website.
I think BOTH Milani Pleasure and Essence Bold 03 are dupes. I isolated each swatch and placed them super close for this next picture to see if they are dupes or if my eyes were tricking me:
Gotta admit, I probably like Charlotte Tilbury’s matte revolution formula the best though.
Catwalking on My Lips
Here’s a lip swatch for you and even my whole face to give the color some context. I’m only recently warming up to peachy tones as lip colors. Warming up….hahah…..get it? Anyway….. I think my natural lip color has a lot of purple in it, so cooler tones have always felt more natural to me. Catwalking is DEFINITELY a warm tone though. Why does Charlotte Tilbury hate cool tones? That will have to be a blog post for another day – leave your conspiracy theories in the comments.
The eyeshadow in this look is also Charlotte Tilbury – it’s from the Starry Eyes to Hypnotise palette which was actually the 2019 holiday release, but I accidentally bought it instead of the 2021 holiday palette, so I’ve been playing around with it as my first introduction to Charlotte Tilbury’s eyeshadow formula.
